PERMA-HAND™ Suture, Black, Size 2-0, 20", with a CT-3 Taper Point Needle, is a nonabsorbable, sterile surgical suture designed for long-term tissue approximation. It is composed of an organic protein derived from the silk of the Bombyx mori silkworm. This natural silk undergoes controlled processing to eliminate impurities, including natural waxes and gums, enhancing its suitability for surgical use.

The suture is coated with a specially formulated wax mixture that improves handling and minimizes tissue drag. This coating also enhances the surgeon’s control during placement, contributing to a smoother passage through tissue. Despite being a natural fiber, the coating significantly reduces capillarity while maintaining the structural integrity of the suture material.
